SandFest weekend!!!

Just 3.5 hours south and we were in Port Aransas enjoying the 16th annual Texas SandFest.  This is the largest master sandsculpting contest in the U.S.  Sculptors from all over the world are sponsored to travel to SandFest to participate...as far as the Netherlands!  This event started on Friday, but we arrived Saturday and hit the beach early to see the progress these amazing artists were creating.

We had a fabulous weekend! Even though we decided to go at last moments notice we were lucky to have rented a cute little beach house just blocks away from SandFest.  I was so glad my mom joined us- it was great to spend this weekend with her.  I thought we were going to hit the road shortly after the contest, but Hannah wanted to play on the beach.  Well, 4 hours later after Hannah had no more energy to swim we left!   She had a blast at the beach & of course miss social met a friend and they built a cute little sand castle!
