Hawaii Adventures

Last Sunday we hiked Makapu'u Point   .  It was quite a hike with 6 kids- two on strollers and one who complained most of the time.  My 5 year old was the one who was NOT happy about the hike!  She was hungry, tired, and well, just not in the mood of walking.  Between Ben, Lulu and Hannah they had to share two strollers.  I broke out in a sweat for sure- there were some steep hills and beautiful views.  To conclude our hike, I have to add that my niece who is only 4 hiked the hill with no problem.  Even though she has hiked this before it was impressive to see her keep up with her two older brothers with out eating something before we left!

Our next adventure took us to the Macadamia Nut Farm North East from Waikiki (the beach near my sister).  Driving through the island was beautiful- so green and beautiful ocean views.  The nut farm had an awesome tour and the kids had a great time!  This landmark is home to lots of movies and t.v. shows.  Countless movies were filmed here- the ones that come to mind are:  You me & Dupree, Jurassic Park, LOST, Hawaii 5-O and a new show The Last Resort.

we just finished our picnic
